I loved the story and your photos, but that photo near the end with the stars and the trees is breathtaking. I would have that printed and hanging on my wall if I had taken it.

What a great story and hunt! Gives me some hope for my first DIY out of state public land hunt in hill county Ohio this year Been training a lot for the hills since i'm in flat land Florida lol. Thanks for sharing your hunt.

We mainly hunted from 9800-10300. I killed mine at 9900 and my buddy right at 10k

You'll be just fine

The hills in Ohio are nothing like out West. You'll find some steep ones but they aren't real tall. Have fun and good luck!
