OnX Hunt membership question?

Unread postby Horizontal Hunter » Wed Aug 08, 2018 10:42 am

Maybe one of you guys can help. I emailed my question yesterday but didn't get a response other than the automated "we got your question" response.

I hunt two states that are "app" only as there is no chip available for these states. (Massachusetts and Connecticut)

The only subscription options are:

Premium - $29.99 per year.

Hunting Units for every state.
Advanced map layers for 1 state.
Unlimited Off-Grid maps.

Elite Yearly - $99.99 per year.

Hunting Units for every state.
Advanced map layers for all 50 states.
Unlimited Off-Grid maps.
Best value.
Click here to purchase Elite Yearly.

Elite Monthly - $14.99 per month.

Hunting Units for every state.
Advanced map layers for all 50 states.
Unlimited Off-Grid maps.
Convenient monthly payment plan so you only pay for the months you need.

It seems silly to have to buy all 50 states for $99 dollars a year when one state is $29.99.

I suppose I could make two accounts with two different emails as a work around but I've read some posts that indicate that they merge them and convert them to a premium membership.

What do you guys do?
As much as I like it ; maybe I need a different product.

Thanks,

Bob

I would just get every state for 100. I look at states I don't hunt on there all the time and just look at all the public land each state offers. I think it is an incredible app and very user friendly.

I agree. I really like it as well. If the chips were available I would just buy them. At $99.00 a year i am paying the equivalent of a chip a year.

Onx did reply and the Elite membership is the only way to do that.

I think the hunting public guys had a coupon code for onX awhile back, you may check them out and see if it’s still active.

I had the same question a while back then stared thinking bout it. If I would be allowed to buy another state I’d be paying $60 so for another $40 I could have all the states.

Does anyone do the Elite monthly subscription for the months of hunting and scouting, then unsubscribe during off-season? Any problems? Some companies (like SeriusXM) are a little unscrupulous about getting in/out of subscriptions.

Are you able to "look" on a desktop machine (with great big monitors) or do you have to go through their phone app?

I picked up an Elite membership. I love surfing around other states and dropping pins during my free time. I love OnX

For any fellow veterans they give military vets 50 percent off. Can’t beat 50 bucks for all 50 states. Just have to call them. I found out talking to one of the reps at the Harrisburg show a few years ago and he was a jar head. Been using on x for years now, really a nice tool.

I’m in the same boat as you. I really like the app but wish I could use it for two states. I’m hopeful that they will create chips for my area for the gps.

That's terrific. It's great to see companies recognize and support our vets. I'll call them later today. That's a huge discount.

Thanks to all that replied.
