Didn’t pass on any. I wounded one, completely missed another and didn’t have shots on a few more. I consider it a pass if I had a kill shot but purposely didn’t take it because I decided not to kill. I don’t consider anything else as a pass.

Just the way it goes sometimes. Have to take the bad with the good. I was in the game and that’s all I can ask for. Hope to turn it around this coming season.

I passed on one buck that was probably P&Y. I typically see very few P&Y bucks in a season.

Zero every year. Pope and young is 125” net typical with a bow. Buck of a lifetime for most hunters in my area.

I voted 3, but am thinking the big 7 point I passed was close as well. Here's The 3, the top 2 I passed 3 or 4 times each

Mature this Mature that . There ain't much public land bowhunters who gonna pass a P&Y public land buck .

Mature this Mature that. MOST you guy's ain't gonna pass a P&Y public land buck just because he aint technically 4+ years old.

P&Y public land bucks are hard to kill with a bow regardless of age.

That's just my opinion. I'm guessing ALOT of hunters call a young immature BIG RACKED buck , a "mature" buck.

When in reality its NOT a 4+ year old.

A good portion of the bucks around here in WI where I hunt reach P&Y at 3 years old.

From the stories I heard Milo Hanson’s World Record may not have been “mature” by some peoples standards.

So if you UTULIZE Dans "mature" buck hunting tactics and kill what you think is a big buck, even though it may not be a 4+ year old, ......Are young bucks still " stringing you along" ?????

Of coarse not... Hunting in spots that only produce young bucks is being "strung along". Utilizing tactics for mature bucks but shooting a smaller or younger buck that comes by is "settling".

Nothing wrong with shooting a buck that makes you happy. But hunting in a mannor that makes even bigger possible at least puts you in the game to get bigger and better bucks.

I voted 2, but in hindsight I think it was 3 or 4. I f you changed your question from Pope and young to gross 125, then most likely pushing 4... Would have to go through my journal to be sure. I had more opportunities than that, but I blew a lot of chances this year.

I submitted 1 but possibly 2. I also saw afew more from stand that were out of range. Don't personally care about p&y scores never entered one in book and never will. I try for a older deer that has something that catches my eye and makes him special. Could be rack size or could just be a special hunting experience.

I passed 2. I missed another and shot one with bow. But I had 10+ on trail cameras that were 125 or better. It's a bit easier to see them when a lot of them are around.
