Re: Climbing Stands
Just joined the forum, glad to be on "The Beast".
I hunt pretty much from a climber only. I have the Lone Wolf, and been using it for 10+ years now. No problem finding "climber trees" in SE Georgia.

Re: Climbing Stands
I have both the lone wolf hand climber and the assualt ll and sticks. Used them about the same last year. But after all the post season scouting I've been doing it looks like the hang on and sticks will getting the most use this year. It all has to do with the types of trees I need to get in for the shot hopefully!

Re: Climbing Stands
No matter how hard I try I can’t be super quiet with my Summit
Even climbing on rough bark is loud.
Boy is it comfy though.

Re: Climbing Stands
My viper is really comfy. But it still never saw any action last season.

Re: Climbing Stands
If you go with a climber and DON’T plan to do an all day sit, there’s no quieter stand than a lone wolf assault climber.

Re: Climbing Stands
I have the summit and I can get in fairly quiet but this will be the first year I am hunting beast style. I am thinking having both may be my best bet.

Re: Climbing Stands
I use and have killed a lot of bucks using climbing stands in hill country. The key is to be quiet setting up and climbing up and down trees.
Also take some cover up the tree with you and to break up your outline.
