I would say understanding how major and subtle air currents move through different terrain and how bucks use these to their advantage and where they can also leave them vulnerable is something I am seeing being overlooked by many...

You can find a big one. You can hunt him deep away from other people. You can be a darn sniper, but if he smells you before you can shoot him, good luck.

I honestly can’t list out things by priority tho, they all become so integral and interdependent. Kind of like ranking the importance of different pieces to a puzzle, leave any piece out and the puzzle is incomplete.

1. Hunt where big deer are
2. Determine where the deer is volnurable to be killed
3. Stay out until it's ready
4. Go out of my way not to blow a set up with a sloppy entrance
5. Understand first time in is best shot, so ride it for all its worth. All day sit
6. Be situated in a way, that I can make a good shot, and not just sitting in a great spot that presents no shot opportunities
7. Believe I'm in the best spot on the best day and it's gonna happen
Life is hard; It’s even harder if you are stupid.
