Carry Pistol of Choice while hunting
Going off of the "Do you Carry" thread I'd like to get a little deeper on caliber and models you guys prefer.
I own 3 pistols so far.. Springfield XD in .45 , Glock 19 and an SCCY in 9mm
In the past I've used the XD for woods carry (double stack .45 with 14 rounds keeps piece of mind) but it's a big and heavy gun. With a rock climbing harness it's a burden to climb with, where as the Glock is a better middle ground. The SCCY is a pocket pistol with a 6-7 round capacity, which isn't enough firepower for the woods in my opinion.
What do you guys carry and how has it been going?

Sig 320 in 40 with nightsights or a Glock 27 with night sights. Both pack tight with an iwb holster. 40 is prolly the smallest for around in here pa but should be enough power if needed. Hopefully I never need it....

I have 2 CC guns, one is my everyday carry, Beretta Px4 Storm sub-compact and the other is the full size Px4 Storm both in 9mm. I carry the full size on a belt holster when bow hunting and sometimes for CC pending on my attire. Normally the sub-c for everyday CC.

Smith and Wesson M&P compact in 40. I think I want to replace it with a 9mm though. I hunt in WI.

Man I feel so inadequate! I carry what I normally pocket carry every day. My Ruger LCP.

Re: Carry Pistol of Choice while hunting
I carried my CZ P-01 for several years until picking up a M&P Shield 9mm for my wife this year but I liked it so much that now it's about all I carry ... still need to get another one for her!!
There's not really any wild life to worry about where I'm at so I don't need anything bigger than my normal 9mm everyday carry, but if I was in bear country I'd at least carry my Ruger GP100 .357mag, but would probably look at getting a .44 mag.

Glock 19, but I'll be upgrading here shortly to a glock G40 (10mm long slide). 10mm, it's the manlier .40cal. I already picked up a trijicon rmr, just need to find the g40 at a good price.
