Best Wired to Hunt Podcasts?

Unread postby johndeere506 » Wed Dec 13, 2017 6:34 am

Ive listened to a few good ones by Dan, Ridgerunner, Singing Bridge and Drurys and maybe a couple more.

I cant seem to find a full list of them. Do you guys know which ones are best regarding late season or public land, or some that focus on hill country?

I like wired to hunt but in my opinion is getting very comercialized. Having a few guests on there who hunt specific very low pressure properties not alot but seems to me the show is gradually drifting torwards the money makers drurys eberhart (which i am a very big fan of) and a couple other guys who the general public land hunter can not relate to i like the guys who do the podcasts i really do and No offense to them of course. But like ive said before there is way to much marketing and pushing of false hopes to the regular guy in these hunting shows. Buy this call bow etc and kill a huge buck. The hunting guys on tv do alot of things i chuckle over. And im a new hunter but know that its bs. High fences and half tame deer with 160 inch horns ( which i have read alot of deer ranches out west are shooting bucks with steroids and supplements for huge racks its just sad that eventually. The marketing ploys get you to sell their stuff but i guess thats why and how money is made

The one with Bronson Strickland who is a wildlife biologist is one of the best episodes IMO. Check out the ones with JoeRE, Aaron from "The Hunting Public" and Todd Mead. Those are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head that are geared towards public land and packed with content.

Adam hays, Joe Elsinger, Dan Infalt, Eddie Claypool and Mark Drury are stand outs for me. I haven't been keeping up to date lately but I'm sure there's more.

A lot of good ones already listed. The Jim Shockey interview was surprisingly wonderful as well.

This one was my fav. Articulates exactly what I believe and how I feel about still-hunting whitetail bucks.

Lope dog. What on Earth in your time exposed to the platform of the hunting industry could you possibly have against a seasoned blistered hunter like Jim Shokey??
I'm an understanding guy when it comes to opinions.

I've gathered from your numerous irrelevant responses to almost every single post in "deer hunting" that you don't like any hunting media that supports a sponsor but just slow down a second....

You need to stop and think about the effort and time it takes to deserve any sponsor that's reaching out for a driven individuals support.

Shockey... From my own view is a beast style Hunter. Yes his intentions are clouded by the products you see him supporting but he is the kind of guy that does whatever it takes in pursuit of his hunt. The guys dedicated... been full throttle, full intent, and doing whatever it takes close to 30yrs.

I respect your opinion and hope you can consider the weight of each person's circumstance.

So they had a podcast about bed hunting

http://wiredtohunt.com/2017/12/13/100-w ... ing-areas/

but the host couldn't bring himself to mention this website when he talked about "those guys" who hunt buck beds.
