Double Draw wrote:My 10 year old under the mentor program in PA shot his first deer, a healthy probably 2.5 year old doe, Tuesday night. 76 yard shot hit the top of the heart and both lungs. She literally dropped in her tracks. He used a 30.30. 5 minutes after he shot her he turned to me and said, "Dad, this is the happiest I have ever been in my life!" It's a memory we'll never forget.
I will post a picture if someone can tell me how.

I know the feeling well! Congrats to him. My son this year? "Dad I feel so successful"

Great feeling watching youngsters hunting and getting their first deer. Hard to explain how awesome it really is.

Congrats to both of you.
