Bucks are still following does like a lost puppy dog here in MA well into December.... After mid-December it seems like activity falls off a cliff. May have to do with Shotgun season being the first 2 weeks of the month.

in ohio I would love to hunt those dates. Tail end of the rut and gun hasn’t opened yet right? I would be stoked.

All your guys comments are exactly what I need to hear...still hard at the hunt. I will stay focused on bed hunting like I have all season.

X2
A little off subject, but;
I've done muzzle in Jan twice and don't recommend it unless you have a corn pile to sit on.
I didn't and by then the deer are only into feeding, hence a good food source...
Locals gave me that tip and choose to defy with zero luck.

A few years back I had a stellar sit with Arrowbender on Black Friday. We saw my target buck that day, unfortunately he was with a doe and not interested in coming closer to us. We also saw a few other decent bucks. We were setup over bedding.
Killed one of my best bucks on Dec 3. He came out pushing a doe that a fork had pushed by me. Def a second rut situation.

I've killed deer two years running the day before thanksgiving. Hoping for a threepeat this year.

2015 I had a mature buck on cam in daylight in Oscar’s (rut only grove that holds does) on Nov. 25th. That same year I waited until the day after muzzy season closed to scout some public. Kicked up a nice 3 yr ten pt bedded with a doe. That was something like dec 12th.
Like others have said I wouldn’t expect a lot of cruising and rut movement, but the big ones should still have the ladies on their mind. You have the go ahead from your wife, therefore you’re nuts if you don’t go. give it your best shot and use it as a learning experience. What if you don’t go and you end up in the same scenario next year? You’re going to wish you had went. Go this year so you know what you’re dealing with.

In Indiana, I have consistently got the biggest bucks on cameras from Nov 20-30 than the 1-10. If you have the pass what do you have to lose? Its not “wasted time” if you know where doe bedding is located. Could produce the biggest buck of your life
