Quick question about swamp edges
So I did a little bit of scouting yesterday near a swamp edge. Found what I believe to be an exit trail leading from a bucks Bedding area. There is a rub on about a wrist sized tree facing as if he rubbed it directly on exiting the bed. My question is, will he come to check this rub even with the wrong wind? The wind will be blowing towards the rub so he won’t be able to scent check it unless he circles downwind. Just curious if y’all think it would be worth a sit? On the other side of the rub and all around it’s pretty thick except for where the rub is. With the rut here I’m not exactly sure how I want to approach this situation.

Nobody can tell you if he might be there for sure. He might be, he might not be. You have to experience what goes on in there. Hang a cam hunt it and scout it more. Then use your beast skills to decipher what’s going on in there.

Re: Quick question about swamp edges
I guess a better way to ask this question is do bucks leave their beds with the wind in their face or in their backs?

I know there’s no such thing as never and always with deer though...

Re: Quick question about swamp edges
Leave there beds wind to back in most cases but swamp bedding is different I'd throw an observation sit at it on a safe wind and go from there
