Most Up To Date Online Aerial Maps

I’m looking for the most up to date aerial map online. A small piece of land we hunt was logged back in June and I’m trying to see what this block of timber looks like now. Thanks!

Try county GIS or google earth, which allows you to choose the date.

For up close google earth is the best. Bing seems to be outdated. Google earth seems to get updated every 4-5 years by me

Up to date you can do satellite images but that is hard to see anything of significance. I just use that to see when some lakes I fish freeze up and open up.

Is the land public? If it is, they have all the logging info online, and usually there is a map showing the logged area, scaled as well. You can just copy the outline and overlay it in google earth.

This is highly dependent on where you live and when the area is flown, I would be a little shocked if you were able to find June 2017 anywhere but its not impossible. Check around on many of the aerial photo sites, local county gis, try a few other places too.

Seems that my area was updated by google earth in February of 16. That's the most recent I've found and I'd think it would be about the same for your area.

When I use bing maps on my phone it has a great 3d view that is pretty hi res, I like it even more than google earths 3d view. Birds eye in bing is not available anymore and was usually outdated. Google earth is nice with the timeline feature.
