I did my usual. I will start on one end or other wind dependent. This ridge is about 1/2 mile long. I will start on one end. That was result of Oct. 28th weekend buck. I started on South end again with no luck. Wind changed an went to North end. Wind was questionable at times even swirling. from time to time. Never got totally busted. But after wind changed they came through anyway. Here few images from my area.

I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

This is correct topo.

I slowly work my way down ridge over a four days toward river. One section at a time checking area. I located my best sign about 300 yards from river. Area was bordered by a couple steep banks an beds at top like normal. I believe they lay up there an over look that bottom area. Pine thicket up hill behind them. River bottom in front of them with about 200 yards to a fresh cutover. I found those above rubs in that area, like always. I checked creek crossings a laid a bet on a gentle rising ridge where rubs were located. I got in tree happy with my setup about 2 pm. By, 3 pm I ways questioning my setup. Already had 2 does an one buck come through an got up side with no rubs. I almost moved. But, I held tight.

A few minutes before 4pm I could see a buck working his way across cutover. He was a nice buck looking through my binos. He come across exactly where other did and he was a solid 12 with good main beam length. Decent tine length an dark chocolate antlers. He worked his way right up ridge in thier tracks never looked around or looked at his surroundings. Just like that he was gone. I spent entire next day from 5:30 to dark thirty on stand. I manage to see One lone doe for 4 hours walking back an forth looking like she was a lost puppy. I knew then it was going to be a long day. She finally went up ridge about 3:00 an came back down an stopped with 20 yards of my stand an looked back up hill for couple seconds an then started across cutover. Small buck come down ridge about 15 minutes an that was it. I'm on call this coming weekend. I hung camera an walked out. We will see what Thanksgiving weekend brings.

It was so close!! :crying-yellow:

I walked that whole ridge an was less than 20 yards off my #1 on hit list. I went over an looked before I left out Saturday morning is was so obvious then it was unreal. Big tracks an everything. But no rubs there.
