Climbing Stick rope mod vs straps

Hello, I'm new to hang on treestands but I just got a Millenium M7 and Hawk Helium sticks.
For those of you that have tried both straps and the rope mod, which do you prefer?
Pros and cons.

They both have their pros and cons. The straps are really nice when it comes to securing and locking in the sticks and stand. The ropes don't get as tight. To me this is important enough to almost make me use them, almost....

The ropes are lighter and overall quieter. I do have the buckles on the straps covered with kayak grips but even just pulling the strap tight can cause a bit of noise on quiet days. The ropes also "slide" up and down on the tree easier once the stick is set so you can make a small adjustment here and there if necessary. They do not lock as tight as mentioned though, they don't slip either but the stick slides a bit farther down the tree before it locks in.

Rope mod for me quieter lighter I think they secure to the tree pretty good and packing the sticks together works better for me with the rope mod.. I've got xop sticks

I like things simple and quiet so I figured I would try and get some input from those that have used both.

Lol, that makes sense. Think I will try bicyle tubes to quieten the buckles.

Tried the straps with stealth strips. Wasn't as quiet as the rope mod. Tried inner tubes too, but had trouble with them slipping off in the cold. Like rhe rope mod the best. I'm only 180 though so I don't have the amount of stretch with the rope as some of the bigger guys.

I changed to the rope mods and I'm not going back. I'm a bigger guy at 255 lbs, don't get much slip and the biggest advantage is my rope mods are twice as long as the straps getting into more tree options.

I like the rope mod best, it's quiet, lighter, and can be as long as you like.

Could the issue of slippage possibly be due to not using the right type rooe?
I've read where most are using 8mm accessory cord.
Mountain climbing grade?

Need a rope with no stretch, if using the incorrect rope definitely could be the issue. I even use the rope mod on my stand with no issues.

I used accessory cord for mine I'm not really sure if it's 8 mm or not but I even bought some really cheap stuff at Walmart to try before I ordered a bunch and cheap stuff performed they same way.. There is a little sag with the rope but still felt safe and rock solid I thought
