I did something similar last year in KY. I hunted soft around what I thought was doe bedding. After a couple days a good cold front hit, I went for it. Busted 2 does walking in, set up and saw a nice buck. The next morning saw 35 deer, 3 shooters and whiffed at 35yrds but it worked. Good luck maine
We don't have a choice when hunting brandnew ground. I also never sit on the outside and wonder if it's a bedding area or not. There just is not time. I never busted a deer in here yesterday that I know of. But have seen a pile so far today.
It's also an overlooked spot. I can almost see my truck from my stand. .3 mIles from my truck.
A lot of guys walk right past this stuff because they really do not know what there looking at. I saw this yesterday and started picking trees. The entrance is dynamite.
What I am really counting on is a good buck coming through checking these doe beds.
