Interesting stat

Unread postby Primetime41 » Wed Oct 25, 2017 2:12 am

Seems like it's been a bit slower in the kill zone than usual. And my hunting has certainly been less productive than it's been in the past few seasons. I went throught he 2017 Buck Lineup thread and through today, there are 25 bucks posted. I went back to 2016 and as of 10/24/16 there were roughly 56 bucks posted. Why do you think there's been such a decline? Weather? More pressure? Some Beast members posting less (and maybe not posting their kills)?

Yep seems a little slow for sure, last year I saw 3 shooters/borderline shooters early season, this year nothing. Thought it was just me  but maybe a bigger trend. None of it matters now, like mentions above prime time and cool weather is here.

a LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO POST PICTURES WITHOUT PHOTOBUCKET, AND IN PAST YEARS I WENT AND POSTED THEM FOR GUYS, HAVN'T DONE THAT THIS YEAR. Heat could be part of it too. Dee have sure been moving good, especially early season, but most guys just won't hunt when its hot.

I think the weather and abundance of acorns in my area are a factor. I noticed the buck pool at the local archery shop has been slow.

I went back a little further. As of this date in 2015 and 2014 there were 38 bucks and 27 bucks posted. So maybe last year was just a great year.

I'm sure the Kill Zone will be flooded in the coming days.

Good points, Dan. I noticed when looking back at previous years that you had posted a bulk of the pictures.

The heat has probably been a big factor. Guys just hunt less when it's hot.

The buck lineup is not totally up to date. Go to the kill zone forum. There are some slobs dead in there that have not been added to the lineup yet. Part of the problem is picture posting is somewhat difficult currently.

I was thinking the kill zone was down a little this year but didn't compare it. I think that will change soon
