Morning Hunt
Tomorrow morning there is a SW wind. I will be trying to hunt a ridge where I found a lot of sign last week. The ridge runs east and west but on the east side curves a bit south. The North facing slope is basically coverless. Here is my question. I have several trail camera pics of coming back in the am off the top of the ridge and heading down onto the South side of the ridge. Would a SW wind keep you from hunting the S side because it isn't the leeward side and assume that he will be heading for somewhere that has more cover on a leeward side? I have other options that is just where I found the most sign last week including a bed. Thre is a bedding area that is farther east that provides the advantage of the wind........ Thanks, I hope this makes sense.
