Bitter apple spray for seat chewing squirrels?

Has anyone tried bitter apple spray or anything else to keep squirrels from chewing up your seat on stands you leave in the tree?

You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Take your seat in and out with you is the only solution.

Bitter apple spray would equal a seat destroyed by a bear here. Any seat left in the woods equals destroyed by a bear here...
Some do. Some don't. I just might...

They like to tear down my trail cameras even when I put em high in a tree their lil twerp cubs go up and rip em down. The few permanent stands we leave up on private land get destroyed too. Ripped from the tree, straps chewed off almost just to be jerks it seems...
