Do you remember all your kills?
I am sitting in one of my brothers old stand sites tonight and it got me reminiscing about yrs gone by. He hasn't hunted public land in probably 10 yrs. Anyhow I was thinking about when we first dedicated to public. It was around 1997. That lead me to try to remember all my kills. It is real blurry anymore. I know all the spots I've killed deer at but as for how many I don't remember. Kind of sad. There was a time I knew them all. I believe I'm closing in on 100 kills.
Can you guys remember all the deer you have killed still?

Re: Do you remember all your kills?
I take notes on the details of every kill with bow and gun going all the way back to my very first deer. When reading my notes I can remember each and every kill like they were yesterday. Very happy I took the time to do that since the beginning. These days with video and pics makes it so much easier to document everything.

Maybe. If I try real hard. I can barely remember what I had for breakfast though !

Being 20, I can remember both of my bow kills very clearly. I can't remember very well all the does and small bucks I have taken with a rifle though...

Re: Do you remember all your kills?
I would like to think I do... and then I start thinking about it, think I’m done counting and then remember another... then another... and so on.
Started hunting in 99 at the age of 10, so this is my 19th season. Have averaged about a buck and a half a season, so have killed somewhere in the 25-30 buck range.
Have only shot two does with a firearm, several with a bow.

Not off the top of my head but if I look at the rack I can remember, sometimes it takes a few minutes, definitely a photo I can remember the hunt quickly.

Can't remember all the does I've killed but i remember all the bucks I've shot but maybe that's because i haven't shot enough of them yet to forget some. I also like to take pictures and keep a journal so hopefully that will jog my memory in the future.

I can't but I've been wanting to go through all my old hunting logs, pictures, and check cards (before telephone check system) and add them all to one document or spreadsheet. It will be cool one day when my kids find it when I'm long gone.

Re: Do you remember all your kills?
I shot a doe yesterday and I'm already forgetting about it. Lol. I can remember my first gun kill and bow kill vividly. And my biggest buck I've shot. Other than that I don't think about them much except to bring up the Intel i used on them to get my next one

Re: Do you remember all your kills?
I have them all written down in a notebook. Started deer hunting in ‘94 when I was 12. I usually go through it once a year to reminisce. It’s fun to see how my hand writing changes through the years. My September doe was #51.

I wasn't as smart as a bunch of u guys I took very few pictures do to always hunting alone. I remember my most exciting hunts and the worst drag outs. But a lot of others have fallin through the cracks. I do however remember all those close calls and blown opportunities with great detail. Funny how that works.

Re: Do you remember all your kills?
Yep. Looking for #4 this season.
Could tell you where I hit it, how far it ran, and probably take you to the exact tree if its still there.
But I have no remembrance of my ride to school this morning....

Re: Do you remember all your kills?
I can still remember all of them both does and bucks. I also have a specific place I write down each of them so when the day comes I can’t remember them all I am able to look back on that for a reminder.

Re: Do you remember all your kills?
I've only killed 6 deer and 1 bear, so yes I can remember them all. 3 deer by bow and 3 by rifle.
