Rub line opens up
Dan mentioned in his podcast that when a rub line opens up ( obviously just made) that a buck is coming out. What did he mean by this? That he thinks that buck will be using that rubline during shooting light and to hunt it asap with the correct wind? How long would it be good for, 1-2 hunts?

Re: Rub line opens up
Dan said this in a context of relativity of deer sign to bedding. He know from previous scouting where the dominant bucks on the property tend to bed when they're living in that property. From previous experience he also had a general idea of how a buck using that bed will move in and out of the bedding area, and where they will lay down rubs to claim the bed. So when he had suspicions that a large, mature deer was living in that area, all he had to do was go out and see if there was a fresh rub line. If there was, he knew the buck was living there and could formulate a plan for the kill move.
