What happened to the MW Whitetail public land guys?

Unread postby Josh9 » Sun Sep 24, 2017 5:05 am

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the MW Whitetail Public land shows. I thought they were going to be doing updates every day and I haven't seen anything from them in over a month. It's by far my favorite hunting show to watch and I hope it hasn't been discontinued! Hopefully I'm missing something here.

Season isn't opened yet in Iowa, they are probably busy with other projects.

Been wondering the same. All the foodplot redneck blind stuff doesn't appeal to me. I think Aaron makes a cabelas show or something maybe too. Hard to tell but if them
Boys leave MW ill not be back watching. Bill seems like a good dude but all the stuff the Regionals and such so does not intrigue me

That's exactly how I feel. I used to be into that stuff but have since realized owning a 500 acre farm and planting deer specific crops is not realistic for me. Since Aaron and Zach have concentrated on the public I've seen my hunting style change along with theirs. In my opinion they are the most skilled hunters in the mainstream industry. IMHO

I believed Aaron is out west chasing elk. They’ll likely ramp up when he gets back.

I like this part.

After six showerless days and not changing out of our hunting clothes I know scent control played a big part in harvesting this buck!

Well since you said it, he has struck my as a smudge of a hippie at times lol But I'm cool with it. Always thought bill may run a Strict team of solid christians but seeing the pics he posted looks as if he's having a brew with a friend after a hard hunt. Legit hunt and kill it looks and my opinion of bills team Building may not be as I had expected.

I fast forward through all the blind plot stuff. I used to like Bill but the show has gotten so commercial and I understand he has to make a living but it has gotten to be too much. I also know one of his contributing staff hunters who runs a hardware store that sells overpriced sporting goods and when asked to help sponsor our bow club just laughed at me......

Couldn't agree more with the commercial aspect.

Ex: ratcheting on muddy stands. Come on now just use a Lone Wolf or XOP...

I will say the public land segment of the show is fine. Only "mainstream" hunters that use anything close to beast tactics so I definitely don't mind watching their hunts.

Seem like good guys too, just wish they wouldn't push so many gimmicky products and encourage food plot hunting. Prefer shows that actually teach people how to hunt and I think the public land segment of MW whitetail does a decent job at this.

Congrats to Zach on his success this season and I wish them all the best of luck.
