Best source for Past Weather data

Unread postby comeback_kid » Fri Aug 18, 2017 2:01 am

I am looking for the best source online for past weather data, specifically wind direction. I can't seem to find it on Wunderground, and Weather.gov does have some data but it's a bit clunky and the weather station is a bit far from where I hunt, so I'd be looking for something a bit better.

I am trying to find the info to put in my logs about when I observe deer in a certain spot, or when they show up on cams in an area etc.

I have found a really cool website called www.windfinder.com and it;s great for looking at past wind patterns, prevailing winds etc.

I have logs in Scoutlook, but if you don't log it the same day, I think it might mess up the wind direction or something.

I use wunderground, not sure why you can't find it on there?

The wunderground app doesn't have the historical function if that's what you are trying. You have to visit the actual site. When you open it up right next to the search bar at the top is a series of 3 horizontal lines. Pop that sucker open and it's the seventh one down.

Btw, should know better or wake the dead?

Weather Underground is the best I've found, too.

Also, ScoutLook will populate past log ins with the correct weather for the time. If you hunt different time zones, make the adjustment or ScoutLook will default to your home time zone.
