Re: 2017 trad kills
Im on the fence. I have been wanting to hunt with my recurve again after 7 years of shooting high tech equipment. I'm concerned I won't be able to fill tags though with limited time to hunt. Wife is pregnant and due November 14. But i will follow this thread and maybe get out with the old martin x100 if i can.

Re: 2017 trad kills
Yea going to kill a doe if she comes close enough this year. After a weekend debacle last year using the recurve I have decided the next arrow released is killing a deer. She might have to be under 20 feet away though for me to feel confident. Work your way up

Re: 2017 trad kills
I'm in. 62" Border Covert Hunter with Hex 7.5h limbs 51 lbs @ 28. Phenolic/Carbon/Buffalo cap...a real looker and a POWERHOUSE.
Also will be hunting with phenolic Morrison ILF with Max4 limbs that draws 49 lbs @ 28. Also a beauty and no slouch on power.
Arrows are 340 or 300 FMJs with 200 grain cutthroats footed with top hats. Brass and cutting to tune.

Yeah the bow is definitely a looker and whips an arrow pretty darn good too.
Havent picked up a traditional bow since I was 12 yrs old (I'm 29 now); have been shooting all summer but it only took a couple weeks worth of tinkering to get dialed in with the Endeavor out to 20 yards.
Good luck this season Hawthorne.
