Ever killed a buck after spooking one from bed?

Unread postby Tennhunter3 » Wed Aug 02, 2017 10:02 am

I was wondering do you guys have success in spots if you spook a buck going in.

If the buck is spooked is it worth still sitting that spot that day?

I'm asking because several spots I have to pass near young buck beds to get setup on mature bucks leaving beds. It's very little room for error.

Easiest way to kill a mature is to bump him out of his bed. Find his route he took to escape, place a stand on downwind side preferably where it comes to a thin area. Bucks will always stop b4 entering a thin area giving u a better shot. Wait afew days climb in your escape route stand and have a buddy drift his scent to the bedded buck. Since there's already a bump & dump, I will call this one the drift & drop!
