Best big buck advice
Curious what everyone's best advice they ever received in regards to hunting big bucks before u stumbled upon the BEAST! I would have to say when I was a kid and desperately wanted a biggen one old timer shared some knowledge that stands out above anything pre beast. He simply said figure out what everyone else in your hunting area is doing, and do the complete opposite..

Be mobile and hunt fresh sign. Best advice I've gotten, it's really changed how I hunt.

Re: Best big buck advice
Your not gonna shoot a big buck, if you shoot the first buck you see.

Re: Best big buck advice
Hunt the thick, pass the little bucks, wait till early November, play the wind ,sit all day, and get in 2 hours before daylight. That's what I did before the beast and shot some good bucks. My old friend who has a wall full of nice bucks mostly gave me all that advice. He was more like a mentor when I was in my twentys.

If he's not big enough to put him on the wall, don't shoot.

Re: Best big buck advice
Another one - if you really have to study the buck and decide if he is big enough to shoot, he's not big enough. A big buck is big enough that you know it and go straight to kill mode.

X2 if you don't do this first nothing else you try is going to be fruitful. My list would be like this:
1. Location
2. Persistence/effort
3. Experience (nothing replaces been there/done that)
4. Knowledge & Tactics
5. MOON Guide (JK - old habits die hard)
6. Everything else
