I found a huge fresh bed in the snow on Friday in a known buck bedding area
It was about 6 feet long and around 2-3 feet or so wide like usual--the length of the thing is what shocked me, never seen one like it before
could it be two bucks bedding right next to one another??
HUGE bed??

I would agree. Or an elk.
If you look close at a bed in the snow you should be able to see marks where the front legs are positioned, as well as the hind. With mutiple beds in the same spot, or repositioning you should either see multiple front leg indents, or everything packed down too large for a deer.
When you find a bed, take the time to look close to figure out how it was positioned in the bed, where its legs were, and where its facing based on the clues given.

Re: HUGE bed??
thanks guys
there are no elk in the area, so it must be repositioning
it is an awesome bedding area they bed in all year long
it has all the right stuff to make it great for them to bed in, wide open woods which give them visibility, a couple ways in/out, several good escape routes, great scent detection with a w/sw wind....

Re: HUGE bed??
this guy bedded in there all summer and I jumped him up once during gun season there
I saw him after our season ended so I know he made it through this year
I would guess 2.5 this year and 3.5 next year? What do you think?

Re: HUGE bed??
note dates are NOT correct, these are from summer 2010
the large single bed I found is most likely from this deer
