Stand- Xop air raid
Sticks- whatever ones you like
Add Molle straps, third hand bow holder
Rock climbing harness
Then you can add a sit drag if you want to try saddle hunting.

I read u mentioned a summit Goliath, if you are a big guy what works for me might not work for you. I think a hunters body type should play a big part in this decision.
I'm very satisfied with my lone wolf assault 2 and lw sticks for bow season. I also have a summit viper that I prefer during long sits during gun season. The lone wolf might be more expensive on the front end but it should hold its value if you decide u want something different. Especially if resold on the beast.
Haven't heard anything bad about xop so it would be an option if on a budget. I think I'd get a mobile lock on first before trying a saddle, again just me.

Is there an ETA on Dan's stuff? Any pics or description of his sticks and stand?

Xop air raid or vanish.
Lone wolf sticks.
Build your own sling/saddle to try that out.
Between those and your summit you will be covered for any situation.
If you haven't tried hunting out of a sling don't drop a bunch of money on one. iMO

The Hawk sticks are heavy IMHO. When ounces count - I don't want to add pounds.

The goliath was an availability thing. Got it cheap second hand. I'm 6' 1" and 190. I also have just fee climbed and shot deer from limbs during rifle season.......so in a way the saddle is an extension of that. I'm kind of a tree monkey. That said the hang on factor does offer a different versatility. Thanks for the thought out input.

I have heard that from people. Did you try a sling and not prefer it? I know that's the case with some. It really is all about preference.

I have thought of this scenario and realize it could really meet a bunch of needs.

Yes. I bought a guidos web, used it a few times. Missed a chip shot 25 yard opportunity (couldn't get in position to shoot) at a 140-145" 10 point that came in behind a doe over my right shoulder. Also didn't like that I couldn't use pants pockets. It also was not good for hot weather imo. I didn't like the overall 'feel' for bowhunting. I sold it for half what I paid for it...
I know guys use them and love them. I just really like bowhunting out of my assault for now.
I have recently built something like a 'one hair' seat I guess is what guys call it. Cost me nothing, super lightweight, can use pants pockets, not closterphobic in hot weather... I will use it for gun hunting deep, summit will be used for gun hunting where I can. It's really hard to beat a summit for gun hunting if you don't mind carrying it and the area has good trees.

Saddle, sticks, done. Never look back! Only question is do you wait for the new NTribe saddle?
Good luck with whatever you buy.
