Tick repellent

What do you guys use for repellent that doesn't spook the deer as I'm sure some of yall are from ky and you know how bad ticks are early season

Permethrin is the answer. Lots of literature on it here and on the interwebz. You can buy it in aerosol form, Sawyers brand is very popular. The other open is to mix it yourself from concentrate.

yes Permathrim absolutely works. Just be sure you are pre-treating your clothes and let them dry, try not to let permathrin touch your skin. I've actually seen ticks latch on then let go of clothing treated with permathrin. I use the yellow spray bottle from wal mart camping section, its like $10.

i just found out that spiders hate permathrine as well. it actually kills them if you spray it on them.
