Been thinking about an area I recently scouted. Though I found plenty of classic looking buck bedding spots. There weren't any large tracks or bigger poops in or nearby. Dewey has mentioned that in areas he hunts. That until this spring. Alot of his marshes were very dry over the last few years.
So has anyone seen good bedding spots gone dry. Quit being used by mature bucks. Then "normal" usage return once the water levels come back up?

I think high water makes bedding much more predictable. This is where knowing every square inch of your hunting land can really pay off. Those subtle higher elevations within wet cover sometimes only a few inches over the water can be extremely good. I know where all of these are with past history so when the water is high I know right where to go. With no water bedding is much more scattered and harder to pinpoint.
