What if I missed late season scouting b4 greenup?
So, I am kicking myself for not scouting in Feb/March, but that's what happened. Am I behind the 8 ball or how will scouting over the summer help me in Fall as bucks bedding area will change ?

Who cares, GO SCOUT!!! obviously you wont see as good, and you certainly wanna off back a month or so before the season. But.....itll certainly help, especially if ur gona be huntin new areas.
But, i skipped on all the winter scouting that i boasted i was gona do, last year.. But come july i was stomping around the woods when all the snakes a flying critters are out, you cant see good cause of the foilage and all the sweat running in ur eyes, lol. None the less, i did it thinking, 'its better than not', had a AWESOME season last year.
It can really, only help.

Go scout and wear skeeter dope
Perfection is a dream, practice is hard work, and achieving a goal is making that goal a reality.

After green-up scouting is more of a pain, but you can still get good intel! I've been scouting at least a couple days a week since Feb til now. And I plan to keep scouting until season.
As I've heard Dan say many times..."If you don't have the intel you need, go get it!"

Go scout. Summer, spring, fall, winter. Some conditions will limit what you find but you sure as heck can still learn things.
And next time don't miss it

No such thing as too late to scout. Every trip is worth something. Some of my best intel hunting Iowa last year came from scouting in June. The benefit with that is you can take foliage into consideration for early season hunts.

I'm in the camp of go scout.
Your locations will be limited and try to have a reason for each spot. Get a map view BURNED into your head. Be prepared is what I'm getting at.
Late season scouting is more laid back and relaxing. No skeeters, snakes, poison ivy...

You don't have to be the best, just do your best.

If the only Intel you gain is the lay of the land and how to navigate in, then you are a step ahead. Obviously scouting early is awesome but I feel like deer know if you are sneaking around or just passing through. One trip in isn't the end of the world just don't camp out. Think about it, if bedding is good they are there with all the natural predators around too. If you are a multiple offender them they will likely move on.

Never give up...there are many different tactics as far as scouting goes. I may get a last second permission or find a new place...I'll walk through, maybe hang a few cams.,anything to raise the odds, tired of relying on "luck"
