Ticks on bigger bucks

I hunt racine, Kenosha, Vernon counties. never seen a tick in racine or Kenosha. Vernon county in all the years I have been hunting different farms mine is the only one they are terrible. my valley runs n/s and opens up wide in the bottom and gets lots of sunlight and my land is very thick. i have never seen ticks like on my land and yes the deer are usually loaded with them . i can walk down my logging road and have 30 on each leg within 20 yards walking . i keep the logging roads trimmed in spring but by fall there is already good growth and the ticks are all over those logging roads. i think last year was the first year i seen a tick (Vernon)on another farm and that was one single tick.
