zipline access

Unread postby jbone23 » Fri Jan 20, 2017 3:58 pm

Have any of yall thought of or tried to zipline into a stand. Was thinking about setting one up. Was going to see what yall thought. Get in quick no ground scent and noise for a short time. Double the chances of killing something a deer or yourself. haha

I would rather have a zipline for getting a deer out. ;)

Maybe you should just launch yourself with a trebuchet and parachute in.

You might be on to something.

Find a cheesy name for it, hype it with "celebrity hunters" and price it sky high. Bam.

On those dry, crunchy days I dream of such a thing.

Why zip line when you can ride a deer to your stand. Who hasn't dreamed of having a doe in estrous tied to their tree.

I've thought about this for years at our alder swamp in northern MI. Often times its very difficult to access this property without bumping deer. Now most of my stands are within 75 yards or less from the road. I only go deep a couple times per season and when I do, they catch on quick!

Hover board. That would be the cats meow. No noise in or out. Super stealthy.

I'd dress like a bird first. You know- it'd be like camo. But we always talk about thinking outside the box. This idea would qualify and it might work.

Picture this. You could launch yourself out of a cannon like the guys at the carnival! I'm sorry for poking fun at this but let's be realistic here.. have you ever been on one? It's not more quiet than walking. You'll get more scent in there setting it up, and you just might scream while "zipping" 30 miles an hour at a tree  Way to think outside of the box, I like it
