Stumbled across this..

Unread postby muddy » Mon Jan 03, 2011 10:39 am

I think it was 2004 when I was turkey hunting some public land and as I was getting ready to set up I saw this next to me on the fence line. Pretty crazy. I did manage to shoot a bird that afternoon, but this pic always makes me a little sad.

Deer do take a beating!!! :?

Now that most deer seasons are done they can have a bit of a break after the winter months.

I found the same thing once while working landscaping. We worked for the guy who owns the BIGGEST house on Lake Geneva here in S.E. WI. (lake geneva is a small town frequented by people from illinois) The guy owns this massive house bigger than you could imagine, on 15 acres on the lake and its only one of 6 properties throughout the world he owns like this. Anyhow his neighbors OWN Wrigley Field. This unsuspecting deer was leaving the neighbors small area of woods crossing over into this guys yard when he got tangled and mangled. Never found the skull just the hanging leg and a pile of fur on the ground next to it. Definitely a sad way to go.

Rough way to go. Really hate to see any critter go down like that.
