I have found a few beds that can be hunted from trees within eyesight, but the vast majority of the beds in my area are in cover so thick you're hunting on the fringes where you think he'll enter/exit. The question is generally hypothetical, but an important one for determining strategies for next year all the same.
That's what I was thinking. A bed that you could get within eyesight here would be rare and figured the same for you.
