That's pretty cool! What are the odds of one being dropped right in front of your trail camera

I wouldn't have believed it myself if someone told me that story. I have about a 1000 cam pics with them laying there. That cam is on one of my lucky buck mineral sites and I hadn't been by it in a month or so.

So did you get photos of him while shedding or did he drop w/o triggering the camera? What day did they drop can you tell - just curious when he shed?

Regardless that's awesome they are laying there in frame!!

I've never found even a single shed there and have been running a cam over that mineral site for about 8 years. Im not sure how to figure those odds but it would have to be way up there.

He was standing there and a spike approached, I'm guessing he gouged the spike and lost his antlers. Next pic was 7 seconds later and the spike was 10 feet away trying to get up off the ground , and both antlers were on the ground. I didn't get them actually falling. The buck shed on 12/8/16 sometime between 14:51:21 and 14:51:28. Which is really early for my area but not totally unheard of.

Man that is awesome!

I had one shed both sides just off camera one time after having passed the cam.

I went back to the area yesterday to try to find the bucks beds in the area and I found his main bedroom. I have a game plan in my mind of how to put him on the ground this fall. While I was in there I did find both sides of his sheds from the 2015 year and another shed as well. I covered the 40 acre area or so very well and have a lot better understanding of where not only the bucks are staying in the area but also the does. I have a decent grasp on how they are going to move around as well. Now with two years of sheds and his beds located I feel like I have a good chance at getting him.

Here are his last two years of sheds and the extra one I found.
