As far as walking in quiet focus on "feeling" your way in. When I slow way down and go into stealth mode you can feel the things that are gonna make noise. A stick under your foot, brush against your leg, a limb against your shoulder even the leaves are felt when you pay attention. The key to being quiet is not let anything touch you and the stuff you can't help but touch make sure it's slow and gentle. Let the brush slowly ease and slip across your leg not slap or rip across it. Another trick could be instead of focusing on being quiet focus on walking in in a way that nothing would see you, if you can move slow and smooth enough to not be seen you will be quiet. I think you can get within 75 yrds of bedding, 50 can be pushing it for anyone unless conditions are right.
