I usually do not hunt the late season but since I have not shot a nice buck yet I'm Guna hunt it was just curious on where is the best place to hunt nice bucks in the late season like field edges, food sources or what?

Re: Late season tactics!?
Depends on the area...
Here, of its cold and snowy we can see some good daytime movement. Can also see rutting activity with late does coming in.
But pressure here is significant and mature bucks are still pretty edgy and moving near dark.
So hunting buck beds is still the way to go if you seek mature animals.

I have found in previous years that you need to find thicket cover and hunker down there. Mature bucks are killed many times off hidden field sources but I haven't seen that in my area. With the limited time left to hunt, I will be near buck bedding, bedding thickets, 1/3 ridges leading to bedding and may try a bump and dump just because lol
