I knew it was just a matter of time, but they were doing a lot of testing this fall during gun season in Zone 3.

I wonder what the knee jerk reaction from the DNR will be. They found it in Pine Island in 2010, and wiped out the deer herd there. We as hunters have a lot vested in the area with APR's, etc for the past 5 years. I hope they don't plan the same thing to wipe the deer herd out.
Stay tuned.
Also, congrats to all the people who have success on this site. I follow this site religiously, still working on filling my buck tag for the year.

Lanesboro which is about 10 miles west of Rushford. Area 348. Within 20 miles of Iowa border.

Just an excuse to destroy the herd and appease the insurance companies.

Re: CWD in SE Minnesota
Not good at all. If they reverse APR's, then all is lost for Minnesota every regaining a place where the herd is balanced, and there are opportunity's to shoot a mature buck. I also understand that not everyone cares about this. From what I have seen since APR's were implemented, a lot of people were against them to start, after 2-3 years, you would be hard pressed to find someone in SE Minnesota that doesn't agree there are more bucks in the woods.
