Got my Number one Target Buck!!!

Its been an interesting year. I missed two opportunities earlier this bow season. I got it done on November 15th at 3:22pm. My first mature buck with my bow and also my number one target buck. I will write a journal later about my season as I took notes.
Story time
Had a lot of pics of this buck. Around 25 pics. Only one during the day. I figured out where his favorite bed was. He had 4 beds that I knew of. All within 200 yards of eachother. He bedded 2/3 up the hills on points that were on the leeward side. Just like so many people here have said.
First showed up on camera October 14th. There was an entire week we didnt get pics of him. He knew he was being pressured but he didnt get pressured enough to change his core area. Didnt go into his bedding areas instead we placed cams on the edges of his bedding area set up on ponds and scrapes. October 22nd was the only daylight photo of him. It was at 9am. I was 100 yards away and never saw him.
November 6th
It was hot! High around 73. I was in the stand that I did kill him in. I had a 2 yr old buck chase a doe past me at 30 yards. Then right at dark, he comes up to the top off his bedding point to check things out. I saw him and didn't even pull back. He was at 30 yards following that does trail nose to the ground but in the thickest brush you can imagine. I grunted and rattled as a last resort but he was gone. Sick feeling that night.
November 15th
I got my work done early that day. Decided to get into the same stand i was in when I first saw him. High around 54 with very little wind but I noticed it had a southern kick to it on the ridge tops. Walking to my stand felt like I was stepping on potato chips. I decided to take my time. Just kept telling myself, "Slow and easy" I get to 25 yards of the stand and there is a glowing rub with a very fresh scrape next to it. If I find hot sign I setup immediatly.
Took 20 mins to go the last 30 yards. I finally got in stand and grunted once very quietly. Well, 30 seconds later I hear him come off the point which was a new bed to me. I grunted twice and he headed right for me head half down and licking his nose a few times. Then gets to 40 yards and he realized there was no buck so he got nervous and walked into the thick brush. I grunted one more time and he made his final mistake. Came into 20 yards and again didn't see a buck so he went down the other point I was on.
I draw back...and I cant get it back. lol. I try again and got it. He was walking slowly head to the ground at 20 yards. I found a hold in the brush the size of a basketball and pulled the trigger on the release. SMOKED HIM! He crashed after 50 yards. I found out I hit the connection between the heart and lungs. Found arrow soaked in red foamy blood.
AS I approached the buck I was first going crazy celebrating with my dad, but followed by a tear. I know it is cheesy but I felt a tear come out a bit. This buck meant a lot to me. My biggest ever in 16 years as in score. First Mature buck with a bow.
Thanks Dan Infalt and everyone else on the BEAST that taught me how to kill good bucks.

Re: Got my Nuber one Target Buck!!!
Looking forward to it.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
