It's very, very well thought out. I have a few pieces of it and really enjoy the functionality and comfort. IMO it's not as important (or maybe I should say impactful) as some other gear such as an accurate weapon or quiet treestand.

It looks too much like the Army's ACU pattern. Over priced and over rated.

Overpriced....yes, but not sure about overrated......it's good stuff. The Sitka I have has an excellent tree stand pattern, fits very well, is very breathable, is windproof, water resistant, and quiet. Like jwilkstn said, it's some well thought out gear, just like a Lone Wolf tree stand.

I really wish they used some of predators camo patterns or ASAT. I really like my sitka stuff and think the quality is the best on the market. Everything fits great and is very well put together just not the biggest fan of the patterns they have i guess which isnt a huge deal to me.

I bought the hoody with the built in facemask last year and the fanatic light bibs this year, both at the cabelas after hour thing where you get about 35% off. Even then it was hard to pull the trigger because I absolutely do not need it. It just fits so well, has pockets everywhere you'd want them, every little detail is well thought out. I wear the hoody with no other layers down to about 40 degrees assuming there is no or little wind. I wore it on saturday and the wind got to me, but one layer of anything probably wasn't good enough. The camo pattern I don't really care too much about, for me it's the fit and comfort that sold me. You can wear jeans and a treebark shirt and shoot a deer if you play your cards right.

Dont own Sitka besides a fleece hat. I have some First Lite stuff for treestand hunting. Pretty tough material and doesnt pick up burrs. Have the North Branch pants and Woodbury jacket in Fusion pattern. Not cheap either but comfortable and well made IMO.

It is the best hunting clothing ever designed in my opinion. I used to wear all of the finest wool money could buy. It's all gone now. But you need to use their entire system to get the benefits of it. I never have more than 2 layers on my legs and 3 thin layers up top no matter what the time of year is. Get the fanatic coat but unless you live in extremely cold temps get the Stratus bibs. DEFINITELY get the merino base layer and the Stratus beanie. I keep adding more each year. All of it is excellent.

I have lots of it and absolutely love it. It's expensive but its very well made and well thought out. Not over-hyped IMO.

Re: Sitka its now everywheres!! Is it that good?
I was hesitant because of the price. But after the first New England cold front hit, i pulled the trigger. i have the Fanatic hoodie, Bibs, Jacket, neck warmer, gloves, and fanatic light jacket a month later. if you plan on an all day sits throughout the rut or late season, i highly recommend this stuff. They put pockets in all the right places. Its the warmest clothes i have ever put on and now swear by it. However, if you plan on being mobile, i suggest wearing a pair of regular pants and a hoodie in and bungie this stuff to your stand. If you walk a hundred yards in it, you'll be over heating and wanting to puke. Yeah the price hurt, but i looked at it as an investment. When its 20 degrees and the deer are moving, its nice to be able to focus on taking a shot and not how cold i am. A couple hundred bucks for extra hours on stand, i'll pay that all day.

I have been fighting purchasing gear from the top-tier brands due to their pricing-- Sitka, FirstLite, Kuiu-- but I think I'll be buying at least a Sitka Fanatic jacket with the diagonal zipper and pockets on front. Its a nice chunk of change but worth it from what I hear. Even though in NC and not up north like you guys, I get COLD in the tree, and I hate being cold, and I hate not having my range finder, phone, etc right wher I need it.
Sitka and others have really great social media ad campaigns and really make it seem like you need the latest camo to kill big deer but I believe you couldn't be further from the truth. Any facebook or IG feed this time of year will show guys kneeling behind monster bucks wearing the most faded, worn-out camo from back in the day....I always go back to Dan on the WiredtoHunt podcast explaining how many monster bucks he's killed while wearing jeans and tennis shoes....
Not that I haven't been caught up in camo myself, but it almost seems like-- with the open pattern camo like Kuiu and Sitka-- that pretty soon we'll have come full circle back to Woodland Camo and other stuff from WWII. You guys have seen all the Brown Camo stuff from Cabela's-- that stuff doesn't need a full dissertation of macro and micro patterns by some product specialist at Sitka and a smart marketing campaign-- its just brown and breaks up your outline! End of the day, I'd love to have some better gear with a cool pattern and will prob buy some based on functionality that I need, but I'm seeing plenty of deer in my Realtree Xtra pants with my brown North Face fleece jacket on top. Getting an arrow in one is another story....
