Found out who shot this one...

Image

They shot it in Jefforson Marsh doing a 30 man all day drive Sunday. They claim it scored 174. They said they saw another one in the same size range, and wounded a 130ish buck, and saw about 30 antlerless deer which were all passed.

30 man drive! I wouldn't want anything to do with that!

Yep, I found a shed the day after Christmas while doing some scouting. These recent cold winters have them shedding early.

and we wonder why there are no deer left in the CWD zones??? the 30 man drive might be the right answer...hard to believe there are 30 people out there that support the slaughter that would ban together. I commend them for passing all the antlerless deer but still seems a little over the top.

I always figured jefferson marsh would hold deer but I only hunted out there once for deer every other time it was for ducks. All the thick brush south of "Y" holds deer I know it does but I think the only way to hunt them in there would in fact be to push them out through drives. While avoiding the duck hunters too.

Tough day Dan! Deer sem pretty stressed up north where there is no bait or agriculture. Just feeding on browse and dont really seem bothered by my presence. I bet many of the bucks have shed already up north.
