Mapping trophy bucks is really good for hunting hilly terrain. Precision bowhunting good also. I think all the content has been discussed on this forum 10 times at least. Both are good books. I got mapping trophy bucks from the library. Would buy a copy tho. I usually read hunting books in winter time. Eberhart has a certain style. He doesn't hunt much until around Halloween time and he focuses on primary scrapes, hunting high, and scent control.

I just ordered mapping trophy bucks from the library too, Eberharts books are good. I'd recommend his other books too, bowhunting pressured whitetails, and the one that his son wrote, whitetail access if you're into diy travel hunting

Good books and I have both. Mapping Trophy Bucks is a must for anyone hunting hills. That book is the hill hunter bible.

It's worth mentioning Eberhart's released an updated version of the book called "Bowhunting Whitetails the Eberhart Way" which has a bit more content. Solid.

Look into "come november" and "buckskin and bone" by gene Wendel if you haven't already. Gene is s farmland whitetsil hunter, but everything he says is applicable to whitetail hunting in general. It's really more hunting philosophy that tactics, but that really amounts to the musings of a wise old big buck killer.
