Swamp water and scent
So I think I'm on to a good buck I saw down in a swamp. I know its the rut and he may not be back, but I have one access route that would be through standing water to set up on this bedding area. Anyone have first hand experience watching a bucks reaction to your entry route through standing water? If I am walking in through 4-8 inches of standing water, how much scent will I be leaving? Hoping to get a second attempt if I find myself slightly out of place or maybe just plan on an observation sit. Just want to know how much damage I'm doing.

Re: Swamp water and scent
You will leave much less residual scent in standing water than you would in thick brush or grassy areas.

We usually wade through the sloughs, to get where we're going here in Louisiana. Less noise, less scent. Easy drag out.
