Same here in western WI... heard of bucks chasing hard mid day several days ago here already... checked two cams that have been full of bucks lately, nothing the past 3-4 days. I'm still seeing the fresh sign but if there are any does in heat you can bet the big boys are busy with them while the younger bucks are laying down all the new sign.

Definitely varies by specific location right now but that's what I'm seeing and hearing here.

I'm in west central as well.

Today's totals. 6, maybe 7 fawns. No does. No bucks. Still have some light left ;)

Today was my first all day sit of the year. Makes for a long day when you see zero deer. Wish it was cooler too. I got off till tues then back to work for 2 days then 5 more days off. Gonna sit as many all dayers as i can handle.

First all day sit for me. Saw 3 lone does and a nice 10 next ridge over. I'm in swamp country but there are some huge knob ridges and he was on the one 250 yards away.

How's the heat affecting your deer movement? It was 77 in western IL yesterday.

I was out ll this weekend in West Central Illinois and I still think were still a few days out from anything starting. Not many rubs or scrapes for this time of year. Very surprising. I think this warm weather has really shut things down. The ow was 70 yesterday morning and not much was moving, I think I saw a button and a doe and a fawn. Did see a coyote as well but he was just a bit too quick for me to get a shot. Didnt see one buck cruising and neither did my buddy which is rare for halloween weekend. Nobody in the area has reported any rutting activity yet so hopefully next week things get stared. Heading back down a week from Tuesday for a week. Temps look to get back to normal and hopefully it give the bucks a kick in the rear!

Jeez I need to hunt by you guys. I have seen 3 deer from the stand all year. And every one was a branch away from death. This is easily the worst year of bowhunting I have had since I hunted Oneida county (10 guys never saw deer all season). There is little to no sign everywhere I look. The one buck I saw this weekend was on the leeward side of the ridge
You have a monkey Mr. Munson?
