I'm highly skeptical of the actual sandwiches, nervous about the farm raised venison as a concept, but applaud Arby's for recognizing us hunters as a neglected market worthy of pursuing.

The single location in Tennessee has to be among the absolute worst for hunter density or % of customers identifying as hunters. It's as DOWNTOWN as you can get in Nashville... my guess here is they are really targeting the non-hunting (majority) "organic" yuppies...

Hope it doesn't taste like the McRib. Those things should be banned by the FDA.

I would like to see how these deer are raised....or on second thought, maybe I wouldn't...

Too far of a drive for my nearest location, also something about fast food and venison not sitting right with me. The best food is almost always the stuff I cook at home anyway.

Venison as fast food should be about how fast they run, not how fast it can be ordered and eaten1 :D

looks like this is the only venison Ill be eating this year. My hunting area has been flooded and the alternate places I have to hunt (public) have a lot of pressure. I havent seen any deer- think they have gone nocturnal.. :(

With an attitude like that your probably right... Pick your head up, count your blessings, and keep at it. It only takes one hunt for everything to turn around. ;)

The more I think about it, the more I think all hunters should oppose venison being served in a fast food or any restaurant because of the spreading of CWD from pen raised deer to wild deer. Just my never to be humble opinion. I am from the state that has more deer propagating operations than any other state in the country And I have seen first hand how apathetic our Dept of Ag is to CWD cases and violations of those running the breeding operations..

Arby's venison sandwich features a thick-cut venison steak and crispy onions with a berry sauce on a toasted roll, according to the company.

The venison sandwich is "100% deer meat," with premium cut top and bottom round steaks from the hind quarter of the deer, according to Rob Lynch, Arby’s Brand President & Chief Marketing Officer.

Lynch said the company sources free-range farmed deer that feed on fresh grass, and he is confident that " deer hunters are going to love this sandwich."
