I've got a bone to pick with Dan.....

Unread postby ThePreBanMan » Mon Oct 24, 2016 4:11 am

So I've bought all the DVDs read all the tactical threads, listened to all the pod casts both HB and others he's been on... I've taken notes, absorbed the knowledge and worked really hard to apply it to this season. Go where people don't go, stay mobile, don't over hunt productive spots, hunt topography and transitions. Well I applied everything I've absorbed this opening weekend here in MA. I picked out a pocket of timber that was smack dab in the middle of a transition of 3 terrain types, (swamp, hardwoods and pines). Never hunted or even scouted the spot before - went in blind. But based on what I've learned I expected there to be an intersection there leading to each of the transitions.... and there was. Expected bedding to be along one of the transitions on the downwind side.... and there was. Expected deer to come in from that area through the intersection I set up over close to the buzzer... and a decent buck got the memo and showed up.. But I spent the next 7 hours cursing Dan Infalt and the hunting beast with every heave-ho through the mud, much and briar patches and boy I'm feeling it today. So to Dan I say this.... Thank You!

He's not the biggest buck to ever be posted here that's for sure. But he's a personal best and I'm hoping for more from here..

You are not the first, nor will you be the last to be in that predicament

One consolation, I tend to think the harder the drag or pack out, the better they taste :L:

Congrats on a dandy buck!

hahaha! Great story bud. Congrats on the success. Pain is only weakness leaving the body so you should be thanking Dan!
