Nice job kicking the habit fellas!!! Been down that road also - started chewing Copenhagen when I was about 13, instantly hooked - by the time I was out of tech school and working a rotating shift - I was chewing through 2 cans day for several years!!! It was actually pretty freaky at the point I "had" to quit - the doc said you'll continue to poop blood as your ulcerating the lining in the stomach - (from chewing that much) quit now or you'll be back in a couple months and I go in to fix you surgically!! Game changer.

Whatcha gonna do...yer gonna quit -

I must have chewed through a pulp cord worth of tooth picks after that - but I won - I quit!!

Its all mental...tougher than - but all mental.

You guys are convicting me to give it another go. Quit chewing twice over the past two years for 3-6months only to start again. I guess today is the best day to quit for good. Thanks johndeere.

I always tell anyone that quits it's best thing you can do for yourself. Tobacco is a terrible habit and kudos to anyone that quits.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Thanks everyone! Good to read some encouraging words and stories from others here. It sucks. Its a terrible habit, and tough to shake.

It really is just that simple.

DECIDE to quit.

Until then, its just attempts. Trust me i know is sucks and is easier said than done. I hope this helps someone else along. It really is amazing that life feels just the same after you quit eventually. I never needed that crap, it just felt like I did. Thanks for letting me share here.

That's awesome. I used to quit dipping at will for a month or two at a time. Anymore though it's tough. I need to quit bad.
