On some public I hunt is an area that has been destroyed by a tornado a few years ago. It's a nasty mess and not sure how to approach it. I haven't been able to. Scout it yet but plan to sit it blind some this fall. The best game plan I've got is similar to swamp hunting. Taking wind and elevation into consideration, hunting the wooded fingers that run into the large expanses of downed brush. What do you guys think.

Re: Swamp tactics in Hill country
If it helps, any time I find sections of blow downs following a big storm I always new bedding there. Often does first. But my experience is with previously active deer travel corridors.
