Can someone fill me in on Michigan seasons??
I see the rifle season opens November 15th.
I'd be hunting probably Leelanau County...
I'm confused by the antler restrictions...
Sounds like regular license and one deer tag means any buck is fair game..
Antler restrictions of 4pts or more to a side apply to the 2nd tag?
I definitely don't wanna make a big mistake...
Right now I'm looking at options...might go up there and hunt the first few days of rifle season...never done it..but spent enough time in the area I think I can find deer lol...such an odd area..I think it'll have a learning curve...but I am pretty confident I will see some deer atleast...

Re: Michigan gun season
The way I read it is for a "Deer" license you can only shoot one buck with 3+ points on a side. And keep in mind, I'm pretty sure if you buy this tag it's one and done for bucks....no buying a second tag later on.
With a "combo" license you can shoot a 3+ point on a side on the "regular" tag, and a 4+ point on a side on the "restricted" tag.
See the following link for the guidelines.....you'll want to look at the regulations in red on pg 32-33.

Re: Michigan gun season
You're right! Thanx!
That's what I thought it was up there but couldn't find it last night..thought maybe they did away with it...
Still definitely an option....between hunting pressure and the rut action probably near its peak, it aughta be a pretty decent time to be in the woods...
