Hanging gear
So in PA you can't screw stuff into trees on public land..
I usually carry a small pack for a water bottle, range finder, etc..I also take my quiver off...and although i have a 3rd hand bow holder on my Lone Wolf, sometimes its nice to hang it off the stand..
Are there any options to hangers that won't hurt a tree??? I can't seem to find much...
I'm sure many states have similar laws...
I try to limit what I take..but at minimum the quiver and bow have to go somewhere...and once I start hunting dark to dark I do have my lunch and such to deal with...

Re: Hanging gear
I either strap my fanny pack around the tree or hang everything from my top climbing stick. Less stuff I have to carry in the better.

I use the Leech test and accessory pack. It has a strap that is used to strap it to the tree.

I use a military dump pouch with a long bungee that goes around the tree

Thats what I have. The pack comes with bungee straps that wrap around the tree or a branch. I used to use the Lone Wolf strap thingy with the plastic hangers and I could never get it tight enough around the tree.

Re: Hanging gear
I use this belt. It has 3 plastic hooks on it. Put my bookbag on my left, bow on my right, and quiver on my right. I think it was like 7.50 or so.

I think it is this one but before they put a logo. I love it. I open the book bag a little and keep my calls and such in there. I did have summit saddle bags, but like this because the saddle bags stick out on the sides and stink to walk through thick stuff with.

I think the ebay links I put up below will help. If you carry a book bag it works out great, and fits nice and easy. Try and find one with a tether instead of a buckle though. May help reduce a little noise setting it up.
Not sure if you use a climber but that is how I set up my climber.
my summit collapses flat. I then fold the seat up, put the book back on top of the seat, then run the tether around the stand and down through the loop at the top of the book bag. Later in the season this is great because you can store you extra clothes in there, and when you climb down just toss them in the book bag.
Get pack to the vehicle take the book bag out an put it in your tote.
Works well for me and that little belt only adds a few ounces.

Re: Hanging gear
LOL hard to see but I have my rack packer underneath everything too. Compact is my game. LOL I grew up hunting out of a dodge neon so now I use the jeep liberty. Not a pile of extra room.

This is what I have been doing. I got a Tenzing back pack for Christmas last year that I will probably start carrying on all day rut hunts this year. I've been thinking of making another linesman's belt and cinching it to the tree like I do for the safety harness. Then use the carabiner to clip the handle of the pack. This will allow me to adjust the height of the pack to keep it within arms reach and away from interfering with a shot around the tree.
