take time to pause and take in the beauty of nature. Stop and smell the fall air. Enjoy the other wildlife that share the woods with you. Listen to the songs of the migrating birds. Forget for a moment the world you came from and get back in touch with nature. Watch the sun rise or set without a care in the world. This is the real success of hunting.
I hope everyone has a safe and successful season!

Re: as a new season approaches...
I was thinking the samething The other morning I was out for the small game opener. I rode my ATV from the house to state land and parked it. As I prepared for the morning ahead...It struck me. I was listening to the woods wake up. First it was a single bird and two, three etc...A beautiful sun rise! Then the acorns started falling branches rustling..deer snorting all over...the smells of the earthiness..a slight smell of decaying leaves....Just what I needed to do a minor recharge!
